We hope you’ll love every River Island purchase you make, but if you ever need to return an item you have ordered from our website, you can do so within 14 days of receipt.
Returning your items from within the UK is easy. For your convenience you can return items the following 4 ways:
- Direct to any River Island Store within one month of your order date (excluding our Jersey and Isle of Man stores)
- Freepost via any UK Post Office™
- Via courier using the River Island Parcel Collection Service
- Via any local supermarket, newsagent or corner shop that offers the Collect+ service
It can take up to 28 days for a return to be processed once we have received your parcel should you choose to send it back to us via the Post Office™, Parcel Collection Service or Collect+.
Items returned to stores in the United Kingdom will be refunded in Pounds Sterling. Items returned to stores in the Republic of Ireland, Belgium and The Netherlands will be refunded in Euros. If you’ve paid for your order using a different currency, you will be refunded in the store’s local currency (Pounds Sterling or Euros) at the current River Island commercial exchange rate.
We are unable to process refunds to your PayPal account at our stores. If you wish your refund to be processed to your PayPal account, you should send your unwanted items back to us using the postal service, courier or Collect+. You are welcome to exchange goods bought via PayPal in our stores as usual.
For reasons of health and hygiene, we cannot offer refunds on food, grooming products, pierced jewellery and underwear. In addition, swimwear cannot be returned if the hygiene strip has been removed.
When returning gifts, cosmetics and electrical goods we would appreciate it if you could return all original packaging.
This does not affect your statutory rights.
Returning a store order
If you need to return any items that you ordered at a River Island store, you can do so within one month of placing your store order. Please take the items you’re returning, along with the Despatch Note included in your parcel or your till receipt to any River Island Store within the following countries:
- United Kingdom (excluding our Jersey and Isle of Man stores)
- Republic of Ireland
- The Netherlands
Unfortunately we cannot accept returns to any of our other international stores.
You will be given a refund via your original payment method.
