Together | Change your style

Together | Change your style

When it comes to our style, we’re always changing (we all remember the 10 Year Challenge, right?) This season, we’re celebrating our most authentic selves – and not apologising for it! Who cares what you used to wear, RI style is as strong as you are and we say it’s okay to have a change of heart, or wardrobe. Because if Beyoncé can reinvent herself, so can we. And in case you need a little inspo, look no further than these kings and queens of reinvention…

Beyoncé

Gone are the days of Queen B’s bootcut jeans and unbuttoned silk shirts – we all remember those co-ordinated Destiny’s Child looks too. She’s gone from girly to girl boss and we love her even more for it.

Miley Cyrus

Miley Cyrus is no stranger to reinvention. She’s gone from Hannah Montana to Wrecking Ball to that Grammy’s ballgown. And we can definitely relate, from our cute pre-teen dresses over jeans phase to the rebel stage we all go through at some point, Miley shows us you can be whoever and wear whatever you want.

Victoria Beckham

Posh Spice has come a long way. From the blonde pixie crop to her 90s two-tone long hair (and bandana) VB has ditched the bodycon dresses of the Spice Girls era and levelled up, creating her very own fashion brand and with it a whole new look. We call it Polished Spice.

Cher

We’re lucky enough to have not one but six decades of Cher’s insane style. From all the matching outfits with Sonny to her love of feathered headwear, she’s all about standing out which is exactly what we love about her. Even when she’s in jeans and a tee.

David Bowie

An innovator on and off stage, David Bowie certainly knew a thing or two about fashion whether he was being Ziggy Stardust, Aladdin Sane or The Thin White Duke. From his iconic underpants to that all white suit, he paved the way for gender fluidity and was, arguably, the king of reinvention.

Justin Timberlake

Let’s just take a moment to appreciate JT in his full silver shellsuit glory. He was definitely *NSYNC with his style. And we all remember that double denim look with Britney, right? Now, he’s ditched the denim in favour of checked shirts, plain tees and tailored suits and we’re not mad tbh.

Pharrell Williams

He might be the man who doesn’t seem to age, but Pharrell has definitely had a style transformation over the years. From wearing his clothing label, Ice Cream’s iconic t-shirts and embellished denim to oversized jeans and blazers, he’s all about wearing those unique standout pieces no matter what the decade.
