December is here which means the countdown to Christmas 2018 is well and truly ON! From the best Christmas markets that definitely rival those in Europe to a Winter Wonderland like no other, there’s a whole host of things to see and do around the UK. Free up your diary, you’re in for a festive ride!

Skylight, Tobacco Dock, London

Ice skating is a rite of passage in December. London’s Skylight have taken it new levels (literally) with a rooftop ice rink. A European first and made with real ice, they’ve also got igloos and huts, so you can seek refuge when the cold kicks in!

Edinburgh Christmas Market

Looking for the best Christmas market? You’re in luck! Edinburgh’s East Princes Street Gardens has had a winter makeover, complete with Big Wheel, carousel and Christmas Tree maze. You’ll find us by the Gluwhein stall!

Christmas Teepees, The Oast House, Manchester

Fire pits, fur throws and fairy lights. The Oast House in Manchester have created a slice of festive heaven with their Curious Teepees. Sip mulled wine, spiced cider and tuck into a hog roast or their infamous (and fabulous) fondue. Who’s drooling? We are.

Winter Wonderland, York

Have you got The Ice Factor? Boasting the largest outdoor ice rink in the North, York’s Winter Wonderland is giving London’s a well-deserved run for its money. There’s also a vintage funfair, après skate café and game stalls. See you there.

Frankfurt Christmas Market, Birmingham

Bringing a slice of Frankfurt to Birmingham, this is the closest thing you’ll get to the real German ones this Christmas and is the largest authentic market outside of Germany or Austria! Enjoy live music, browse the gift stalls and wash pretzels, schnitzels and bratwursts down with Weissbeer!

Kew Gardens, Surrey

With a field of light, laser garden, 300 light-up origami boats, firework trees and Cathedral of Light, Kew Gardens has been well and truly transformed this Christmas! A festival of colour, art and sound, what more could you want?!

Time to wrap up…
