Our Must Haves: Cost Per Wear

January can be a tough month to get through. The excitement of Christmas is over, you don’t feel right wearing sequins anymore and your bank balance is looking pretty sad. Although your New Year’s resolution might be to save money, it doesn’t mean you can’t treat yourself to a new piece or two. It’s all about spending smartly so lucky for you, we’ve put our math caps on and calculated the cost per wear of these key styles. All these pieces are timeless and work month after month, season after season so when you think long term, each buy is literally pennies!

The Coat

A coat is something you wear every single day so this baby pays for itself. We get that sometimes you rotate a couple of your coats to change up your look, so when we were doing our calculations, we factored in that you’d be wearing it for 15 days out of the month. If you wore it every day, its cost per wear would be a tiny £2.58!

The Shirt Dress

Every girl needs a good shirt dress in her wardrobe and this one will be a strong addition. Simple, black and midi length, there’s not many occasions you couldn’t wear this to. If you wore this to work five times, brunch twice and drinks once this month, it would only cost £5.75 per wear!

The Smock Dress

We love a smock dress, especially at this time of year when comfort is top of the list! Layer it up, with a roll neck and add some over the knee boots and you’re good to go! It will also be great on its own going into spring. If you wore this to work twice, to brunch three time and shopping four times, you’ll be getting a bargain and only £4 per outing!

The Blazer

The camel blazer is a wardrobe hero because it can smarten up a look, it’s a great night out companion and it works with jeans – need we go on? If you wore this to work ten times, for drinks three times and for brunch once, it would only set you back £4.28 per wear. We’ll throw in all the compliments you’ll get for free…
