Take Me To The Island | Eimear Varian-Barry

Summer may almost be over and your big dream holiday been and gone, but we reckon there’s still time to sneak in a cheeky weekend break or last minute bargain! To remind us that there’s still plenty of summer spirit to be had, we headed to Ireland to catch up with gorgeous blogger and yummy mummy, Eimear Varian-Barry, to chat all things holiday…

Describe your summer style in 3 words...

Feminine, casual and beach inspired!

What's your dream family holiday destination?

We went to Mexico last year and I think it will be tough for anywhere else to tick as many boxes as that place did!

What's it like taking the kids on holiday?
I travel with the girls a lot and I absolutely love it! I spent my youth dreaming of being able to travel, and feel really lucky to be able to take them to different countries and give them experiences that will stay with them forever.

What's your top tip for keeping the kids entertained in the summer?

Pinterest! I get a ton of ideas from there, especially art and craft stuff. I love doing really fun things that don't cost any money and are entertaining enough for them both.

How do you like to dress Harper & Saoirse in the sun?
Lots of comfy, flowy, casual clothes. If I like something and it's available in both their sizes, I have to get it for both of them! I have always been obsessed with fashion and picking out outfits for yourself is fun, but even more so when you have kids! I think I tend to dress them in clothes I would like to wear myself!

Are you a fan of mini-me dressing?
Yes, but only subtly. I think matching accessories are cute!

Who do you follow for style inspiration?

I really love Courtney Adamo (@courtneyadamo) I think she has the most simple, authentic, gorgeous style. Olivia Lopez (@lusttforlife) in LA has an amazing eye for photography and the best style too.

Who's on your summer playlist?
