6 Times Leomie Anderson Bossed Life

6 Times Leomie Anderson Bossed Life

Some people just exude girl power. Leomie Anderson is one of them. When she isn’t busy walking catwalks and running her own business, she’s on a mission: to empower 21st century girls (though we say its mission accomplished). Modelling and entrepreneur-ing aside, she says her special skill is storytelling and is a true Aquarian woman. Despite being based in New York, South London runs in her veins and she returns to Tooting whenever she can. Here’s why we love her…

1. She’s modelled for Fenty Beauty…

Alongside the likes of Slick Woods and Duckie Thot, she was one of the first to model for RiRi’s beauty brand and has also been shot for the Savage X Fenty lingerie campaign.

2. She’s done a TED Talk…

Last year, she was a speaker at the TED X Peckham Talk where she spoke openly about the side of the modelling industry we don’t always get to see.

3. She has her own collective, LAPP…

LAPP also known as, Leomie Anderson the Project, the Purpose, is an online forum and fashion brand that’s a place for all women to share their experiences, express their feelings and have a voice.

4. She’s walked for some pretty amazing designers…

From Victoria’s Secret and Armani to Jeremy Scott and Yeezy, her modelling resume is impressive to say the least.

5. Her YouTube channel…

Her video, Black Model Survival Kit, was a response to the industry, but instead of finger pointing, she wants to educate people so we can progress.

6. She uses social media for the greater good…

With 195k followers, it would be easy for her to promote detox teas and toothpastes. Instead, she uses her following to be unapologetically outspoken, talk about real issues and inspire young girls.
