Labels Are For Clothes | RIHQ

lables are for clothes

This Autumn, not only marks our 30th birthday, but the launch of the second drop of our Labels Are For Clothes campaign - a celebration of people who reject stereotypes and champion self-expression. We’ve teamed up once again with anti-bullying charity, Ditch The Label to create a limited edition collection of empowerment tees and sweats to shout our mantra loud and proud!  And in case you need some help in how to style yours, we enlisted the help of our HQ huns…

Jacinthan - Buyers Admin Assistant

What makes you unique?
I’d say my character – I’m one of a kind!

What label would you give yourself?
Open-minded

How would you style your sweater?
I like to mix up styles so I’d wear it with a pair of check trousers and trainers.

Paul - Brand Designer

What makes you unique?
I’m a Geordie with an RI edge who can actually talk the back legs off a donkey. Although most people think I’m Scottish!

What label would you give yourself?
It would probably be 100% Diva.

How would you style your tee?
I’d tuck it into some cropped trousers and wear with trainers and white socks (sorry Mam) for smart casual vibes.

Maddie - Junior Digital Designer (far right)

What makes you unique?
I always stay true to myself.

What label would you give yourself?
Definitely 100% Positive

How would you style the sweater?
It’s so comfy! I’d wear it with some straight leg or Mom jeans and then add some gold hoops and mules to dress it up.

Tanushree - CRM Executive (far left)

What makes you unique?
I try and discover a new side to myself everyday through various dance forms, meditation and travelling.

What label would you give yourself?
Pure Dreamer

How would you style your sweater?
I’d style it with some jeggings and boots with a ‘no make-up’ make-up look!

Charlotte - Senior Designer (top)

What makes you unique?
My genetic code [laughs]

What label would you give yourself?
I’m fearless.

How would you style your sweater?
I’d keep it simple with jeans and trainers, cosy but cool!

Courtney - Denim Designer (bottom)

What makes you unique?
My dad’s half Grenadian from a little place called Carraciou and I was born and brought up in Yorkshire. I have a strong Northern accent which people don’t expect -  I love it!

What label would you give yourself?
I’m a positive, independent lady! “All ma ladies who independent…”

How would you style your sweater?
I’d wear it with a pair of wide leg jeans and some cool trainers.

Adam - Men’s Press Executive

What makes you unique?
This is a bit of a random one but when I was a kid I played tennis with Andre Agassi.

What label would you give yourself?
I’m all about positive energy, so it would have to be ‘GOOD VIBES ONLY.’

How would you style your tee?
My style is generally quite casual so I would dress my LAFC top with a pair of tailored joggers (t-shirt tucked in of course!) and a pair of classic white trainers.

Lauren - CRM Assistant (left)

What makes you unique?
Whenever I see an animal I turn into a 5 year old! I’m also an aspiring Vegan (although cheese is the hardest to give up!)

What label would you give yourself?
100% Sassy!

How would you style your tee?
I’d wear it with cute flared jeans and comfy trainers - casual and cosy vibes.

Sohini -  Affiliate Marketing Executive (right)

What makes you unique?
No two people are the same, so everything about me is unique – especially the awful little crescent moon tattoo I got when I went travelling.

What label would you give yourself?
100% Label Free!

How would you style your tee?
I’d make sure it was slightly oversized, knot it at the front and wear with some high waisted jeans or an A-line skirt and some trainers.
