*Orders placed before 10pm Monday to Friday will be delivered the next day.

Orders placed after 10pm on Friday and before 5pm on Saturday will be delivered on Sunday.

Orders placed after 5pm on Saturday and before 5pm Sunday will be delivered on Monday.

Orders placed before 5pm on UK Bank Holidays will be delivered the next day (provided the next day isn't also a Bank Holiday).

Orders placed after 10pm on a Bank Holiday will be delivered two days later. We will confirm the expected delivery date at checkout when you place your order.

Nominated Day Delivery

Select a delivery day of your choice, up to seven days in advance. Deliveries are made between 8am and 10pm on your chosen day.

Precise Delivery

Precise

Precise Delivery allows you to select an hour slot for delivery at checkout, which you can schedule up to seven days in advance. Delivery slots are available between 8am and 8pm on your chosen day.

Evening Delivery

Evening

Select a delivery evening of your choice, up to seven days in advance. Deliveries are made between 6pm and 10pm on your chosen day.

Evening deliveries are not currently available to the following areas:

  • The Scottish Highlands & Islands
  • The Isle of Wight
  • The Isle of Man
  • Northern Ireland

You'll be notified by email when your order is ready to collect. Once you've received your "It's Arrived” email please collect your order from your chosen store within 14 days. Your order number must be produced by you or the person you have nominated to collect on your behalf. If you placed your order instore and do not collect your order within 14 days, your items will be sent back to our Distribution Centre and we will issue you with a refund card which can be spent in any River Island store, online or on our App. If you placed your order online or through our App and do not collect your parcel within 14 days your items will be sent back to our Distribution Centre and we will process a refund to the card used to place the order. If a payment card was not used a member of our customer service team will contact you.

This service is currently available at stores in the UK and the Republic of Ireland.

Delivery to the Republic of Ireland will vary depending on the store selected. We will confirm the expected delivery date at checkout when you place your order.

Collect from River Island store: express

River Island works with Collect+ and Hermes so you can have your order delivered to any one of their network of local convenience stores. Pick the delivery location that's most convenient for you, choosing Standard delivery.

Collect+

We will confirm the expected delivery date at checkout when you place your order and your order will be available to collect from 5pm on the date of delivery.

You will be notified by your account e-mail address when your order is ready for collection. You will have 10 days to collect your parcel and will need the code and proof of ID (see below).

Hermes Parcelshop

For UK deliveries to ParcelShops a valid UK mobile number must be provided when placing your order to receive notification that it is ready to collect from your chosen store.

We will confirm the expected delivery date at checkout when you place your order and you will be notified via e-mail when your order arrives and is available for you to collect.

You must bring with you the email confirming your parcel is ready for collection at your chosen store, along with a proof of identity (see below).

  • Bank/Building Society Book
  • Valid Passport
  • Cheque Book
  • Driving Licence
  • Foreign ID card
  • Utility Bill - all valid except mobile phone bills (Landline telephone bills acceptable)
  • Under 18s should bring their National Insurance Card, Medical Card or Savings Book.

Please note that if you would like someone else to collect the parcel on your behalf, they will either need proof of your identity or identification with the same surname as yours.

Collect from local store: Next day

Deliveries will take place between 8am and 10pm and in some cases a signature may be required. If nobody is available when your parcel is delivered and there isn't a safe place to leave the parcel, the delivery driver will leave a calling card with instructions on how to rearrange delivery.

You can enter delivery instructions when you're placing your order e.g. "leave with neighbour". However River Island are not liable for any parcels that are lost or stolen if specific delivery instructions are left for the carrier.

Estimated delivery times all exclude weekends and Bank Holidays. We will confirm the expected delivery date at the checkout when you place your order and this information will be included in your order confirmation email.

Next Day Delivery, Nominated Day Delivery, and Precise Delivery are unavailable to the following locations. Furthermore, standard deliveries may take up to two working days longer:

  • The Scottish Highlands & Islands
  • The Isle of Wight
  • The Isle of Man
  • Northern Ireland

We can deliver to the BFPO (British Forces Post Office), but we are unable to deliver to PO Boxes, Hospitals, Airports and Prisons.

We are unable to deliver on Bank Holidays so please allow an extra working day for this.

Order tracking

Deliveries to the UK

When your order is despatched from our Distribution Centre, we'll send you an email with your tracking number and a link to our carrier’s website to tell you the current status of your delivery. Alternatively you can track parcels within My Account.

Deliveries outside the UK

When your order is despatched from our Distribution Centre, we'll send you an email. If we have sent your order via courier, this email will contain a tracking number and a link to our courier’s website to tell you the current status of your delivery. Alternatively you can track parcels within My Account.

Please note that some deliveries outside of the UK will be sent via an international postal service where parcel tracking is unavailable. If your parcel has been sent via an international postal service, we'll let you know this in the despatch confirmation email we send you.

Problems with your order

My order hasn't been delivered

If your order has not been delivered within the timescales for your country, please contact us. Please remember to include your order number within your message as this will help us speed up the search for your order.

If we're unable to locate your parcel, we will send you a ‘Missing Parcel Claim Form’ to sign and return, which will act as a declaration of your claim. Upon receipt of your declaration we will investigate the claim and advise you of the outcome.

Faulty item in order

If you think there is a fault with an item you have received, please return it to us to assess.

Incorrect or missing item in order

If you have received an incorrect item or an item is missing from your order, please Contact Us with details of the error. Please remember to include your order number within your message, as this will help us speed up the search for your order details.

If we are unable to locate your missing items, we will send you a ‘Missing Parcel Claim Form’ to sign and return, which will act as a declaration of your claim. Upon receipt of your declaration, we will investigate the claim and advise you of the outcome.
