DRESSES TO GO: THE CHLOE LEWIS Q&A

We had a chat with our style idol and pro at making every moment that little bit glam, Chloe Lewis.

Not only has she picked her favourite women’s dresses to match your plans (honestly there’s summer dresses, party dresses, maxi dresses…we could keep going), read on for the lowdown on how to make everyday an occasion to dress for, motherhood and nailing your own personal style.

ON DRESSING UP

How do you describe your style? Do you like to experiment?

Classic with a twist. I live to experiment, as I always worry I've got it wrong in the past.

Tell us what you love about getting dressed up?

The transformation! Doing my makeup has always been a favourite of mine: like painting a picture.

What are your three style tips when choosing the perfect dress for an event?

1) Suit your body shape.

2) Show the parts of your body you like the most.

3) Make sure it's danceable.

Neutrals or brights

I love both at the moment: but I would have to say neutral.

What’s your favourite dress from the edit and why?

The floral mini I have on today! It reminds me of summers in Ibiza.

The transformation has to be the best part about dressing up! Doing my makeup has always been a favourite of mine: like painting a picture”.

ON MOTHERHOOD

Since becoming a Mum, has your style changed and if so, how?
Yes, I wear whatever I feel like wearing. You care less about what people think.

What’s your favourite thing about being a Mum?

When I see him laughing and having a nice time, I think “yes mumma you did good”. The love they give you is the best feeling in the world.

Is there anything you’ve learnt about yourself since becoming a Mum?

That I can live off less sleep, and still function ok. Also, to just to be yourself and live life to its fullest. My mum is the best person, my inspo and I hope one day to be just like her.

You’ve got five minutes to get ready and leave the house, what do you throw on?

A summer dress, boots and a jacket.

“I wear whatever I feel like wearing. You care less about what people think when becoming a Mum”.

ON LIFE

Do you believe in affirmations?

Of course.

If you could give your younger self one piece of advice, what would it be?

Do what you want to do and when you want to do it. Don't live by anyone else's rules. Be present and have fun.

You can choose three guests at your fantasy dinner party, who are they?

J-Lo, Julia Roberts and Kate Hudson

Summer or Winter?

Summer!

What did you always dream of doing when you were younger?

I wanted to be a makeup artist for special effects on films.

One thing that’s on your bucket list?

I don't really want for much; I just want to make memories with my family wherever that may be.

"Do what you want to do and when you want to do it. Don't live by anyone else's rules. Be present and have fun".
