Editor’s picks: the RI Studio Party edit
We asked the team at Sheer Luxe to choose their favourite showstopping statements from RI Studio. These editor-approved pieces have been hand-picked for the party season and include look-at-me gowns alongside seasonal heroes. Get ready to dial up the dazzle.
The shoot was created in partnership with SheerLuxe and shot by Victoria Adamson.
THE SHOW STOPPER
All eyes will be on you when you turn up anywhere wearing this elevated take on an LBD. The elegant high neck, flattering cinched-in waist and demure mid hemline are balanced by the backless detail and it’s finished with lashings of fringing that will take flight on the dancefloor.
Voluminous, sheer and almost irresistibly glamorous, organza is the breakout star of 2021’s festive season for me. You’ll turn heads for all the right reasons with puff sleeves, multiple tiers, subtle metallic thread and oversized bow fastenings. More is more at this time of year.
THE GOLDEN GOWN
Studio 54 called. And it wants its dress back. OK, it didn’t actually, but this shimmering metallic beauty definitely wouldn’t have looked out of place on Bianca Jagger at the iconic New York nightspot. I think gold lame is the ultimate Christmas party power move because let’s face it, no one else’s outfit will get a look in when it comes to the best-dressed list if you turn up wearing this.
Is there anything more sophisticated than a sharply tailored black tux? Spoiler alert. No. An effortless alternative to a dress, wearing a suit to a party makes you instantly more interesting. I don’t know exactly why, but it’s just a fact. This one features silk lapels and is best paired with nothing underneath.
THE LUXE PJS
Louche, luxe and oh so lovely to wear, this silk pyjama set is the ultimate in bed to bar dressing. I’d layer this tactile set with a cosy cashmere jumper and pair it with a good book, or wear it with heels, jewels and a striking red lip for a relaxed but stylish approach to evening wear.
