Five days, five ways to wear a white tee
The plain white tee is an absolute staple, and we’ve got five ways you can style it for every day of the week. Whether you’re working from home or need to dress to impress, we show you how this style can form the basis of your wardrobe for the working week. Definitely easier than a shirt and tie.
Start the week as you mean to go on in relaxed tailoring. No need to dig out the shirt though, wear this beige suit with a white tee underneath and you’ll be good to go to any kind of office. They say to dress for the job you want, right?
When you don't want to wear a suit, but still need to look pulled together, a matching set is the perfect happy medium. Choose a dark colour like navy blue and it will make a stylish stand-in for tailoring. Just add one of our white t-shirts for men underneath.
We all got a lot of practice dressing for Zoom calls in 2020, so you’re probably an expert in that department. We recommend layering a shirt over your white tee (look everyone, I put a shirt on) and keeping it comfy down below. Do put something on though. We’ve heard too many video call horror stories involving boxer shorts.
Thursday evenings are when we officially start winding down for the weekend (don’t tell the boss we said that). So, your outfit should be ready for 5pm drinks. A denim jacket over a plain white tee is a timeless look that will work from desk to dance floor. Please try and get home before 2am though.
Dress down Fridays call for jeans, trainers and your plain white tee. No need to overthink this one, in fact, the simpler the better. If Marlon Brando could pull it off, then so can you.
