Obviously. This year, however, we’re moving away from twee and diving head first into blown out blooms. Think maxi in-your-face prints, highly saturated colour and intense contrast. This isn’t a time for wallflowers. For this floral update, only the bravest dressers will do. From Seventies inspired bell sleeve maxi dresses in wallpaper floral prints to kitsch blouses you’ll wear all season long, treat yourself to this stylish bunch.

Before you scroll on, let us say one word: texture. A neutral colour palette does not equate to playing it safe in our book especially if you have fun with textures. Mix a high neck cream cable knit with high-shine PVC khaki trousers, rich caramel boots and a honey beige duster coat and you’ve created an outfit that’s the epitome of chic. Try out neutral colour blocking, mixing darker cocoa browns with oat latte and mauve pink shades.

Disclaimer: this trend may stop traffic. In 2020, the world rediscovered it’s love of colour and since then we haven’t looked back. While the world felt uncertain and grey we brightened up our wardrobes with all the colours of the rainbow. Brights have dominated our feeds and the streets for a while now and the trend isn’t going away anytime soon. Whether you prefer rich true tones or eye watering neons, one thing is for sure: colour is non-negotiable in a 2022 wardrobe.

Spotted: someone who knows how to dress. Earn serious style points with polka dots this season. We’re dotty for them and the front row will be too. Whether you prefer micro or macro, our Spring forecast is in and predicts spots will take the world by a storm come March. A printed jumpsuit is spot-on but if head-to-toe print isn’t your thing, a dotty scarf tied around your neck nods to the trend subtly.

Utility is the new athleisure. No longer synonymous with workwear, utility style is practical, cool and perfect for every day; especially in our post-pandemic world. Unlike loungewear, utility pieces have the advantage of looking smart from the off, meaning you can style them up or down whatever the occasion with ease. From combat trousers complete with all the pockets your face mask, hand sanitiser etc need to boiler suits and chunky biker boots, this is a trend development to get excited about.
